i seek to restore myself and heal the world

each chapter holds a message from an indigenous leader regarding the precept

i read / meditate / listen / commune with the message

i write the precept in words on paper in the shape they call for

i replace the written words on a new page with symbols who speak loudly

in this way i honor our ancient lineage that predates the written word

in this way i honor multiplicity of truth / perspective

in this way i allow for diversity of thought / experience / feeling
