feedback
this human body sits peacefully
in one hand
the weight of the love of an entire universe
in the other hand
every mistake this one has ever made
(:
negative feedback
i am grateful for the opportunity you provide to improve myself
thank you sincerely
your feedback will be proudly displayed
as evidence of mistakes i have made
it is not our successes that define us
it is our failures
all of the many many failures along the way to a success
and
how we react / change / build / take accountability
i know i will do everything in my power to make the situation right
in a way that serves your needs
i will go ahead and say this
if i have hurt you / caused you harm / made you uncomfortable
i guarantee you it was not intentional
i make no excuses / i hold myself accountable
and
i have lived a long life
as an autistic / neurodivergent / highly sensitive person
being blamed for things big / small
i had no idea i was doing wrong
i have always benefited from assuming positive intent in others
approaching with curiosity instead of judgment
even when weird / totally off base / incredibly hurtful
i request
( not demand )
the same
positive feedback
positive feedback welcome
as a way to encourage the good
let me know what to keep doing
there will be no positive feedback posted
my work should speak for itself
if you do not know who i am
i will do nothing to hamper your judgment
trust yourself always
if you do know who i am
then you do not need to be here
trust yourself always
if you want to leave a review / support me
hold our experiences together in your heart
share with a friend
my trust is in your hands

EDITS
november twentynine twothousandzerohundredstwentyfive
- the first version was an earnest attempt at addressing power dynamics between minority / majority but was controlling and not truly welcoming of feedback
was operating from fear of possibility rather than courage / fearless trust in the universe
far too many requirements to ask of someone attempting to address something wrong that happened to them - this second version removes requirements while still providing at attempt to humanize all involved
