reaching takes no effort at all

i deserve nothing
i am worthy of everything
in knowing i am worthy
i can receive gifts freely
in knowing i do not deserve these gifts
i am grateful for them
in being grateful
i find love

it is only through love i find my strengths
it is only through love i stop the cycle
there is no other way
anything else is merely perpetuating
is but a symptom of the problem
a harm left in the wake of the great cosmic wheel passing over us
as it rolls through time and space
indifferent to us all

love is action
it is not passive
it is a series of choices driven by intention / effort / desire

gratitude is the stuff from which love is made
to work for it is to slow these cycles of harm
it takes much much effort

and

it gets easier over time.
